I will try and report after my trips to the lake and Wed July 15th, I made a trip to Pickwick and I never come up empty handed.
This was true to this trip, but it took me a little longer to figure out the pattern. If fact it took two days, but have no fear I found what they wanted and where to throw the bait.
Yes, I will tell you that it was the Bass Pro Tournament Squirming Ring Worm in the June-bug color. The fish were found in two feet or less water Right against the grass, they were kind of back into the grass and were waiting on something to come by.
The fish were not hogs, but still a 2 to 2 and 1/2 pound fish were still fun to catch. I did not find the hogs and by the time the rain had passed a day later they turned off completely.
This is when I switched to night fishing and low and behold they were moving up from the deep water, onto the flats and I found them in the grass again.
All in all I caught about 60 fish in five days and was happy, and relaxed when I returned to Memphis.
I will let you know when the bite picks up at Pickwick and I must include before I close if the water is not moving, your chances on catching a lot of fish will be slim to none. With all the rain that we are getting look for TVA to move some water at Pickwick and try and schedule fishing during the week due to water skiing, Jet Skis, and pleasure craft that think that they own the lake.

P.S. Still do not have a July winner for our contest.
