This will be a short comment from basshogfishing and maybe even a tip to save you the problem that I have started having with my tilt.
I charged my batteries after every trip to the lake and when Memphis got hit by that freezer and the temps stayed in the single digits for days. I got to thinking the first nice day and I better check my batteries to ensure that it will not hold me up in the spring.
Both my trolling motor batteries were at 85%, so I got them back up to 100%. My starter battery was at 60% and again I charged it back to 100%. NOW COME THE PROBLEM.
When all batteries are at full charge for no reason my tilt kicks in and raises my outboard motor. I was lucky and standing by the boat when it started, I pulled the top off and removed the Solenoids from the motor. I had to use the manual release to lower my motor and if I plug the solenoids back in the motor wants to tilt again. I tried the switch at the motor and it would not work, neither would the one at the steering wheel. The one I have at the front of the boat does allow me to lower the motor, but as soon as I release the switch it tilts again.
Anyone got a idea what is going on?
