Folks it does not take a whole lot to drop a line and this comment brought back the time I use to fish with my Grandfather that taught me to fish and got me hooked. In my books he knew How, When, and Where to catch Crappie and it always amazed me on how he did it. Enjoy the Comment and let me hear what other folks have to say.
“Steve, you are welcome to use that phrase if you wish. My neighbor, whom I fished with for many years, had that as his favorite saying. He lived until he was in his mid eighties and I can still see him in my mind when he was 81, standing up in the front of his boat with one foot on the trolling motor foot control and casting a gold Rapala 11F lure with his spinning rig (he never did learn to cast with a bait-casting reel). I think he could have put an empty wash tub out in the yard, let it rain in it, and then cast into it and pull out a bass. I have never had a fishing partner like him before or since. He also said that if you aren’t on the lake by 4:30 am then it is too late to go, might as well wait until the next day. When he invited me to go with him the first time, he made it very clear that he would leave at 4:00 am whether I was there or not. I was never late in 15 years of fishing with him. What I would give to have just one more fishing trip with him! Thanks again for what you do and especially for the goodies you are sending. May the waters always be calm and the boat motor always crank.”
One week away From Nashville Fishing show at the fairgrounds where I will be showing folks how to use the Crappi Candle.
And must stress to everyone I have a new article to replace the Honey Hole article that will be on the websites www.Basshogfishing.com and www.crappieslabfishing.com.
Will try and have it done and polished by Mid February, I will show you just how to set up your own Honey Hole, and believe it or not just cost me $25.00 for the blocks.
Not bad for about six spots that I will enjoy all Spring, Summer, and Fall…who knows might even win a few tournaments.
Keep The Hooks Wet
Steve
