For all you anglers around the Tennessee River started getting reports that the water is going down and they are catching a lot of Spotted Bass and Large Mouth on Pop R’s around Mouse Tail to Camden Landing.

Got to admit with the crazy weather Memphis has been having I have not been to the big river and now that the temps have dropped to the 30’s and 20’s I am one of those cuddled up next to the fireplace and wishing I was out there in search of MR. Bass Hog. I think it has something to do with age the older you get that cold north wind will chase me back inside real fast.

If you decide to venture out make sure that you bundle up real good, I saw a article the other day that stated the first layer of cloths should be wool if possible and not cotton. The cotton will hold moisture where the wool will not so less chance of you getting cold real fast. If you are like me, get the fingers, toes, and ears cold and I am done for the day and have to retreat to the fireplace. Most of all be real careful out on the water and try and have a buddy go with you. The nice part is if the fish are not biting good conversations will make up for the fish not wanting to play.

Keep The Hooks Wet
