Here is some great news the proposal that would have let our government increase ethanol content in gasoline from 10 percent to 15 percent is DEAD…for now. It was decided in late September for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency 2010 appropriation bill, and just published.
This is all about the article I wrote after talking with some of the marine folks that stated if it had been approved it would have hurt so many anglers. What I mean is increasing the ethanol to 15% would make our outboard engines run hotter and most of the marine folks said it would void warranties on your motors.
So this is some of the best news I have heard in awhile ….but do not let your guard down, I feel like they will try again and all anglers need to let our elected officials know that we do not want to see the increase in Ethanol.
