FISHING REPORT

November 14th, 2009 · No Comments

This is what your Rattle Trap looks like after about 150 Bass.

November 9th, I had to return to the same lake to make sure that it was not a fluke that I caught so many Bass.

Being retired sometimes it is hard to find someone to go with me in the weekdays, but I called a buddy that I fish with a lot in the summer and ask him if he would like to go. At first, he thought it was a fish tale, but agreed that I would pick him up at 9:30 and give it a shot.

We arrived at the lake and was on the water by 10:00am and I think it was 10:03 when the first 2 pound-er was landed. My buddy looked at me and could not believe it because this was the first of about 50 that we caught in 2 hours. The air temp was 70 and the water temp was 60 degrees.

We were throwing the (CHROME & BLUE) Rattle Trap and again the bass were killing it. Not like the Saturday before, they were not inhaling it but all the hook ups were just inside the lips.

As we approached a wooden pier, I explained that the biggest fish that we caught last Saturday came off of this pier right in the front of it. I gave my buddy first shot at it and  the lure hit the water and after two cranks he shouted that he had a hog. I saw the fish tail surface and knew it was a good fish. After a few minutes playing the fish, we landed it and weighed it to find out it was 5.2 pounds.

All in all I made a believer out of him, when I say that I am on the fish you can take it to the bank. We had a great time and this is another once in a life time trips when everything works out great.

Keep the Hooks Wet
