Let me start off saying I am very pleased with all that are checking out the blog and making a statement. I hope that I am helping out some of you with new ideas and where to catch that Bass Hog.
With winter just around the corner and a lot of you have made it to the lakes and seen what I have been talking about the great number of shad that are found in the back of the coves. Watch them real close and as they start to move out of the coves to the main lake points follow them and throw a Rattle Trap or Crank Bait.
Sorry I have not been blogging that much, but thanks to Mother Nature giving the South so much rain, I figured it was a good time to get some of the home items done. Such as new carpet, and painting the inside while on the outside we were getting two the three inches a rain a day.
For November the first week will be the full moon and the mornings will be your best bet to get on the lake if you can stand the wind. The first week will be the best according to the astro charts and that is the best for the month.
The New moon hits November 17th and for about three days the best time to hit the lake will be right after lunch until about 2pm.
Again let me say you should be throwing a Rattle Trap/Crank Bait the 200 to 300 series to get down to the fish. I am not saying that is all you should throw, because if you see some fish hitting the Top-Water try a TopWater Bait, such as a Spook, Buzz-Bait, and last but not least the Frog.
This is also the time of year that I have great luck throwing the three Flukes with no weight other than the hooks on the main line.
Two things before I close, with the weather getting colder and the water temp dropping be extra careful and practice all the safety you can. the second thing is check out November’s Contest giving away a double pack Crappie Candle the first half of the month and a Cell Phone Clip hanger the second half of the month. You have to log on to win and the first winner will be drawn the 16th, and the second winner will be picked the first part of December. Good luck.
Steve
